Membership in Yale Chicago is automatic based on your association with Yale and your location. Please note the criteria and email registration requirements below to ensure you are receiving our newsletter and other club mailings.
Note that we do not sell nor share any personal information provided by you or the University.
Membership Details and How to Receive Club Mailings

1. Hold a degree from Yale College or any of Yale’s graduate schools
2. Are a current student at the University
3. Are a parent of a current student at the University
4. Are a tenured full professor of the University
5. Are a widow/widower of a Yale alumnus/alumna

A valid email address, AND
A mailing address in the Alumni Directory with a valid City, State, and Zip Code in Illinois or Northwestern Indiana (either Home or Business address)
How to enter or update your information in the Yale Alumni Directory system
Access the Yale Alumni Directory by clicking here.
Login and click on the link to the YAA Alumni Directory in the upper right of the page
Search for your Alumni Record and make the needed changes
Note that you should use the email address in the appropriate section. Leave the 'Primary email' field blank.
Save and exit.
(Note: A street address is not needed should you have privacy concerns. We only need the fields mentioned above)

In recent years, we have encountered systems issues with our mailings so, if you update your information in the YAA Alumni Directory, but still do not receive our newsletter, please email Yale Chicago at yalechicago@aya.yale.edu. Upon receiving your email, we will quickly resolve the issue.
Here are some ideas for how to get more involved in Yale Chicago
1. Suggest and plan an event
2. Volunteer and participate, especially those members in Northern Indiana, Champaign-Urbana, Springfield, and other areas outside of Chicago
3. Suggest and lead a Yale Day of Service event. Anybody can do this. YDOS events can happen any time during the year. We do not only organize events in conjunction with Yale’s International Day of Service each May. Email us a yalechicago@aya.yale.edu.
4. Become a Board Member - Click here for more information on Board Membership or email us at yalechicago@aya.yale.edu.
5. Make a donation to the Yale Club of Chicago (Click here to Donate)
6. Let us know when you have time (a few hours is enough!) and what your interests are. We will pull you into relevant opportunities (write to us at yalechicago@aya.yale.edu)
7. Make a general suggestion (yalechicago@aya.yale.edu) - e.g., more sporting events, a monthly running event, a welcome event for “new to town” alums in Champaign, a group tour of an exhibit at the Art Institute, a group tour of the Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, etc. If you want it to happen; we will work with you to make it so.
What area does the Yale Club of Chicago cover?
The Yale Club of Chicago covers most all of Illinois (except the St Louis area) and a portion of NW Indiana. The YAA provides an interactive map of the territories for all US clubs should you wish to lookup your location.
