Board Participation

Most alumni who join the Yale Club of Chicago Board have an interest in:

1) Giving back to Yale University through the activities of the Yale Club (see our Mission Statement on the Home page)

2) Expanding their professional and personal networks via increased participation in Board, Social, Professional, Yale University, and Community Service events

3) Participating for additional Yale Alumni Association roles (see links for Associated Schools Committee, YAA Assembly, YAA Board of Governors)

3) Growing themselves personally through exposure to an outstanding group of peers as well as University professors and staff

Responsibilities of each Board member include:

1) Attending monthly Board Meetings (in person once a quarter)

2) Organizing events (1-2 a quarter)

3) Participating in the administration of the Club

4) Optionally - providing leadership of the Club by serving as an Office

The Club is governed by a set of bylaws that can be viewed here.
