Please join YCC at the Poetry Foundation for a private walkthrough led by artist Victoria Martinez MFA '20. Victoria's solo show, titled Frente a la vida / Facing Life, responds to the work of Peruvian poet and activist Magda Portal through abstract murals and a selection of wall-hung ceramic paintings that mark a new chapter in Victoria's practice.

 Born and raised in Pilsen, Victoria incorporates multi-layered vibrant materials that reference the Chicago cityscape. This event is a chance to learn more about her practice and ask questions directly of the artist herself!
