THE NEW BLUE OF YALE

The New Blue of Yale

William Harris Lee & Co.
Fine Arts Building
410 S. Michigan Ave. | Chicago

The New Blue was founded in 1969, the same year that Yale University first admitted undergraduate women, making them not only Yale's oldest female a cappella group, but its oldest women's organization of any kind.

The New Blue's repertoire remains almost exclusively arranged by members. Over the last few years, the group has produced seven CDs. The 30th Anniversary CD, Can't Stop, was the recipient of the Contemporary A Cappella Society's award for Best Female Collegiate Album. The New Blue has toured all over the world and U.S., in the past few years delighting audiences from Ireland to Greece and Turkey, from Texas to Florida, and has sung for former president George Bush as well as current president Barack Obama during his years as a senator.
