Looking Ahead for YaleChicago

On Wednesday, March 16, approximately 18 engaged Yale Club of Chicago volunteers representing a cross- section of leaders and shared interest groups (including officers and members of the board of directors, young alumni, community service, Alumni Schools Committee, YaleWomen, Yale Black Alumni Association, graduate and professional schools alumni, and tutoring) gathered for a "strategic thinking session" about opportunities for YaleChicago to grow and enhance engagement over the next five years.

In a lively conversation and series of exercises facilitated by Susie Krentz '80, the group looked at the organization from a range of perspectives (membership, events and participation, outreach, technology, geography, etc.) and discussed how the group would like to envision YaleChicago in the year 2020, with the aim of identifying goals and strategies to guide the organization's planning and activities over the next several years. A working group is currently drafting a summary of the discussion and recommendations to share at the next Yale Club of Chicago board meeting on May 2, 2016.
